Rock Water Flower Essence

Rock WaterPositive qualities:
Flexibility, spontaneity, and flowing receptivity; following the spirit rather than the letter of the law.
Patterns of imbalance:
Rigid standards for oneself, asceticism, self-denial.

Rock Water essence, one of the original English (Bach) remedies, is not made from a plant, but from the essence of a sacred, underground spring, where the Earth forces are concentrated and consecrated. Rock Water essence treats a condition of soul which is more mineral than plant like; it is for those who have extremely rigid attitudes toward life.

Although such souls have high philosophical ideals, they suffer from an inability to enjoy life, and their thoughts quickly crystallize into hardened dogma. They adopt schedules for work, or life patterns for eating and sleeping, which are overly restrictive and mechanical. If they are following a spiritual path, such individuals tend towards harsh asceticism, attempting to fit their lives into strict and narrow concepts of spiritual behavior.

The essence of Rock Water helps such souls to develop more inner flexibility, and especially to feel the living, pulsing currents of their emotional life. In this way, such persons come more in touch with their feelings, which stream and flow from the inner being much as water courses from the Earth.

This essence is sometimes indicated for those beginning flower essence therapy, or for those who cannot feel the results of flower essences. Rock Water essence opens the soul to the plant realm of consciousness, by helping it to experience the flowering, flowing qualities of the feeling life.

Taken from the Flower Essence Repertory by Patricia Kaminski and Richard Katz.

Rock Water is an essence of solarized spring water. It imparts the essential qualities of water: flexibility, receptivity and spontaneity. Those needing this remedy hold themselves and others to rigid standards, are inflexible in their attitudes and are bound to routine and regulations. This is a great essence for fostering more ease in our approach life.
